WHERE THEY LIVE
Beavers live near the water.
They live near streams and rivers.
They live near ponds and marshes.
They spend a lot of time in the water. |

DID YOU KNOW?
- Beavers are great swimmers. They can stay under the
water for 15 minutes! They have webbed feet which help them swim.
- Beavers cut down trees with their sharp front
teeth. They use the trees to build dams and beaver houses. Beaver houses are called
lodges.
- When beavers feel that danger is near, they slap
their flat tails on the water to warn their families.
