DID YOU KNOW?
- Black bears are not all black. Some are
silver-gray, some are reddish brown, and some are chocolate colored.
- Black bears are good climbers and swimmers.
- In the winter, bears go into caves and hibernate.
They take a long, long rest.
- As people build more homes, black bears have less
room to live. Sometimes they wander into people’s yards by mistake.
