Black flies like to be close to water. They live in forests and on

DID YOU KNOW?
- Black flies are small insects. Some people call
them “buffalo gnats” and “turkey gnats.”
- Only female black flies suck blood. They
aren’t very picky. They will bite humans, farm animals, and wild animals. Their bites
are very itchy.
