DID YOU KNOW?
- Grasshoppers are super jumpers. They have huge back
legs. Some grasshoppers can jump 200 times the length of their bodies.
- Chomp, chomp, chomp! That is the sound of
grasshoppers jaws hard at work. They eat the food that farmers plant. This makes the
farmers mad.
- Male grasshoppers sound like they are singing. They
make their song by rubbing their back legs on their wings.
