DID YOU KNOW?
- The grouse is a big bird. A small grouse is about
as big as a chicken. A big grouse is about the size of a turkey.
- Some people call grouse “fool hens.” They
aren’t scared of humans at all, not even hunters!
- So many people were eating grouse for dinner that
they are now protected by laws.
