Lungless salamanders eat insects.

ENEMIES
Birds like to eat lungless salamanders.
So do many small, furry animals, like weasels and muskrats.

WHERE THEY LIVE
Lungless salamanders live in wet places in the woods.
They live on the ground.
They hide under leaves and rocks and logs.

DID YOU KNOW?
  • Lungless salamanders are very odd animals. Most animals that live on land use lungs to breathe, like you do. Lungless salamanders have no lungs. They breathe through their skin!
