WHERE THEY LIVE
Mallard ducks love to live near water.
You can find them on lakes, ponds, and rivers.
They also live in bays and parks.

DID YOU KNOW?
  • The mallard is the wild duck we know best. We see it all the time.
  • Most male mallards have shiny green heads. Females are different colors of brown.
  • You may see a mallard’s bottom before you see its top! It’s looking for food in the mud underwater.
