They even eat the bits of food in poop. |

ENEMIES
Birds eat pillbugs.
Frogs and toads eat them too.
So do snakes and lizards.
Even some small mammals eat pillbugs. |

WHERE THEY LIVE
Pillbugs love damp places.
They live under things.
If you lift a log or rock, you may see pillbugs. |

DID YOU KNOW?
- Some people call pillbugs “roly-polys.”
If you poke a pillbug (gently please), it will curl up into a ball. It looks like a pill.
- Most animals that live on land use lungs to
breathe, like you do. Pillbugs have no lungs. They have gills, like fish! If they get too
dry, they will die.
