Toads eat insects.
They eat ants and moths.
They eat mosquitoes too.
Toads also eat worms.

ENEMIES
Some snakes eat toads.
Also, many toads get run over because they sit in the road.

WHERE THEY LIVE
Toads live in forests.
They like to be near water, so they live near ponds or lakes, or streams, or rivers.

DID YOU KNOW?
  • A toad looks a lot like a frog. But a toad has dry skin and a frog’s skin is damp. A toad’s skin is also very bumpy.
  • Not many animals eat toads. That is because toads taste bad.
  • When a toad grows too big for its skin, the skin splits open. The toad climbs out and eats its old skin.
