DID YOU KNOW?
- Turkey vultures are large birds. They are almost as
big as eagles.
- You can always tell a turkey vulture by its head.
Its body is covered with black feathers. But its head has no feathers. It just has red
skin.
- Some people think turkey vultures are gross because
they eat rotting things. But if they didn’t, the rotting plants and animals would
just lie around. That would be worse!
