WHERE THEY LIVE
Wild turkeys live in the woods.
You can see them in fields.
They live near swamps too.
Wild turkeys also live in large parks and pay visits to yards.

DID YOU KNOW?
  • Wild turkeys are a lot smarter than their cousins, the turkeys that are kept on farms.
  • Like their farm cousins, male wild turkeys have large tail feathers. They can spread them into a fan to show off for the female turkeys.
  • For a while there weren’t many wild turkeys left. Then people took care of them. Now there are many more wild turkeys.
