Yellow-breasted chats eat insects.
They also eat wild berries and grapes.
ENEMIES
Owls and hawks hunt for chats.
So do foxes and weasels.
WHERE THEY LIVE
Chats live in fields that have lots of small
bushes.
DID YOU KNOW?
Yellow-breasted chats are songbirds. They belong to
the warbler family.
A chat can do a trick with its voice. It can make
its voice sound like it is coming from many different places at the same time!
There are less chats in the eastern part of the
United States every year. That is because people are using the fields to build houses and
stores. The chats lose their homes.
