Birds pull earthworms from the ground and eat
them.
So do toads and snakes.
When moles dig tunnels, they eat the worms they find. |

WHERE THEY LIVE
Earthworms live in the soil.
They dig tunnels.
The soil must be damp.
But when it rains hard, the worms come up. |

DID YOU KNOW?
- Worms like to eat at night. The daytime sun is too
hot for them. It dries them out.
- Worms help people. They eat dead things and make
poop that helps plants grow. Yucky to you, but yummy to your garden!
