KIND OF ANIMAL: Bird


FOOD
Hungry robins pull earthworms from the ground.
They also eat insects and fruit.

ENEMIES
Owls and hawks hunt for robins.
So do weasels, foxes, and house cats.

WHERE THEY LIVE
Robins hop on city lawns.
They live in parks and in the forest too.

 

DID YOU KNOW?
  • Robins have orange feathers on their chests. They are sometimes called “robin redbreasts.”
  • Some robins have summer homes and winter homes. They fly to warm places in the winter and return in the spring.
  • Robin eggs are a bright blue color.
