They like to be near water, so they live near ponds or lakes, or streams, or rivers. |

DID YOU KNOW?
- A toad looks a lot like a frog. But a toad has dry
skin and a frog’s skin is damp. A toad’s skin is also very bumpy.
- Not many animals eat toads. That is because toads
taste bad.
- When a toad grows too big for its skin, the skin
splits open. The toad climbs out and eats its old skin.
