DID YOU KNOW?
- Wood ducks build their nests in hollow trees. They
build them very, very high off the ground. When the baby ducks are less than one day old,
the mother duck leaves the nest. She sits on the ground and calls them. The babies jump
from the high nest all the way to the ground. They are so light, they dont get hurt.
Then they follow her to the water.
