DESCRIPTION
  • Beavers are powerful swimmers who can stay underwater for up to 15 minutes. Their webbed feet help them swim.
  • They are best known for their amazing ability to construct dams and lodges.
  • They are the largest rodent in North America and the second largest in the world.
  • They collect food and store it in their lodges for the winter.
  • When danger is near, beavers slap their broad flat tails on the the water to warn their families.
