DESCRIPTION
  • Many people consider grackles to be obnoxious birds because they are very noisy and tend to hang out in groups. There are also lots of them.
  • They do have their good side. They eat large quantities of insects and grubs, especially before they migrate south to their winter homes.
  • Grackles are commonly seen in city parks. They’re large birds, with bulky nests which can be seen in trees, shrubs and on the undersides of bridges.
