DESCRIPTION
  • Mallards are the most common of all ducks. There are over 10,000,000 mallards in North America.
  • Mallards eat large quantities of mosquito larvae which live in ponds and swamps.
  • You will often see a mallard “bottom up” as it feeds in the mud beneath the water.
  • Male mallards have shiny bright green heads, while females are shades of brown.
