DESCRIPTION
  • Bobwhites are a kind of quail. You can usually find them in a flock of 12 or more, called a “covey.”
  • This chicken-like bird is a favorite of hunters and in some places has been seriously overhunted. Habitat loss has also been a problem, especially in the northern U.S.
  • Bobwhites like to take dust baths.
