DESCRIPTION
  • Ovenbirds get their name from the nests they build, which look like old-fashioned ovens. They build them on the forest floor using leaves, grass and hair.
  • They are a favorite target of cowbirds, who steal the ovenbirds’ eggs and replace them with their own.
