DESCRIPTION
  • A slime mold is a very ancient kind of living thing. Scientists use them to study how cells grow, change and work together.
  • Slime molds sound like they should be disgusting, but they’re not! Many of them are colorful and beautiful to look at. In fact, some people even collect them.
  • Slime molds are fungi, like mushrooms, but they can “crawl” over their food, which most fungi can’t do.
