DESCRIPTION
  • The vireo is a member of the thrush family. There are two kinds, the red-eyed vireo and the warbling vireo.
  • Vireos can capture larger insects because its beak is sturdy with a hooked tip.
  • There are fewer red-eyed vireos than there used to be because their habitat is being destroyed both in North America and in their South American winter homes.
