DESCRIPTION
- The yellow and black striped insect hovering around
your food is often mistaken for a bee. It is, in fact, a yellow jacket wasp.
- Many humans think wasps are pests because they
sting.
- Many wasps are social. They live in paper nests
made from chewed plant, wood, and bark mixed with their saliva. Each nest has workers,
males, and a queen.
- Some wasps live on their own. They build their
nests from mud and lay their eggs inside it.
