DESCRIPTION
  • Bobolinks are known as “rice birds” because they are particularly fond of rice, which does not make them a favorite of rice farmers.
  • They have a distinctive bubbling song, which some people think sounds like, “Bob-o-link, bob-o-link.”
  • They have one of the longest migrations of any songbird, flying 12,400 miles round trip. Before they migrate, they gather into large flocks.
