DESCRIPTION
  • Cardinals are known for their bright red color and their peaked caps. Females are a duller red mixed with brown.
  • Cardinals mate for life.
  • Cardinals are popular birds. Seven states have chosen the cardinal as their state bird - more than any other kind.
