DESCRIPTION
  • The starling was brought to New York City from Europe in the 1890s. During the last hundred years, starlings have spread through most of North America.
  • There are now so many starlings and they are so aggressive, they have hurt other birds, like the eastern bluebirds, by taking over their nesting spots.
  • Starlings like to look for food on their own during the day, but the evenings they party! You’ll often find hundreds of them gathered together in a large, noisy group.
