DESCRIPTION
  • The deer mouse makes big news whenever there is an outbreak of the hanta virus, because it is spread through their droppings.
  • Deer mice reproduce quickly, so they are very plentiful. This makes them a favorite snack of many other animals. Only 1 out of 20 baby mice lives to be a year old!
  • Male deer mice help to take care of the babies.
