DESCRIPTION
  • The moose is the largest member of the deer family.
  • Moose are known for their distinctive profile and the male’s enormous antlers. Moose grow new antlers each April. The antlers fall off in the winter.
  • Except during mating season, moose usually spend their time alone.
  • Moose are good swimmers. They dive under the water looking for roots to eat.
  • It is hard to sneak up on a moose. They have excellent senses of smell and hearing.
