DESCRIPTION Some people think of spiders as insects, but they are not. Unlike insects, they have eight legs, not six, and no antennae. Spiders are hunters. Many of them build sticky webs to catch their insect prey which they then paralyze and eat. Although all spiders make poison, not many can seriously harm humans.
